Hi, I’m Anna King Shahab. I’m a writer based in Auckland, New Zealand. I don’t only write about food, but it’s fair to say it’s the topic I’m most passionate about – probably something to do with the fact that I quite like eating.
I like cooking, so I’ll blog about what I’m doing in the kitchen – recipes, ideas, ingredients, techniques and more. I love eating out, so I’ll blog about where I’m eating and whether I think it’s worth you eating there, too. I enjoy shopping for food, so I’ll blog about places to find good food for sale. And when I get a spare minute in my day (which isn’t often, with two small children to care for) I love flicking through books about food, so I’ll blog about them, too.
I don’t have that much expendable income at present, so right now a lot of my cooking focuses on really making the most of what’s in season, abundant and therefore well-priced, as well as making mealtimes much more interesting by stocking you pantry and fridge with interesting – but not necessarily expensive – ingredients.
